Doubling down in women in top leadership | Denmark's C25

Do public-listed firms lead in gender representation at top leadership?

In the case of Denmark, yes.

Companies listed in C25 index have double the number of women represented in their top leadership compared to the largest firms in Denmark.

The 1000 largest firms in Denmark, listed by Børsen and including globally recognized firms like Novo Nordisk, Mærsk, Carlsberg or Lego, have on average 21% of women in the board of directors and just 10% of women in executive management.

🇬🇧 To put that into perspective, this numbers on the board is the percentage UK firms had. Today, the UK’s largest firms are close to achieving gender balance at the board level – without the use of quotas.

💡 Even in the Nordics, where gender equality is often assumed to be achieved, data continues to uncover insights that challenge perceptions.
