📊 It is +1,500% more likely to find a woman CSO than CEO.
This insight comes from Denominator’s report, analyzing the diversity performance on the Top 100 firms nominated for the North America CSO (Chief Sustainability Officer) Awards /25 by future/io.
Among the nominees, including Netflix, Colgate-Palmolive, Tiffany & Co., Philip Morris International and many others, Denominator data reveals that even among some of the strongest performers in sustainability, gender gaps in leadership remain.
🔹 Women hold 65% out of 100 CSO roles, whereas only 4% of CEO positions.
🔹 This means it is 1,525% more likely to find a woman CSO than a woman CEO.
While the Top 100 companies outperform the North American average across all diversity dimensions, achieving gender balance at the highest levels is still a challenge.
Yet, it’s inspiring to see organizations raising the bar for sustainability and leadership excellence.
Congratulations to the winners!
